JOB DESCRIPTION: To assist in the identification, testing, and monitoring of ELA students at each school.

QUALIFICATIONS: Two years of study at an institution of higher education, as evidenced by four semesters of college, with 12 or more credits per semester; or an associate’s (or higher) degree; or high school diploma or equivalent, including successfully passing an academic assessment in the areas of reading, writing, and mathematics. The ability to communicate fluently in English, both orally and in written form, is required. This position requires successfully passing an oral and written fluency in English proficiency assessment. Bilingual skills are desirable. Paraprofessionals who have not yet attained Highly Qualified Status at the time of employment will be placed on the Professional Development Plan until documentation of Highly Qualified status is provided to the District. The employee must complete requirements within the first year of employment.
