JOB DESCRIPTION: To provide assistance to students at specified crosswalks, promoting safe pedestrian traffic procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS: Interest in children, their education, and their safety. Good physical condition, including adequate vision and hearing necessary to fulfill performance responsibilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Complete district in-service training program before assuming responsibility for the crosswalk.
- Establish and maintain good student conduct at the crosswalk.
- Assure that students walk in the crosswalk.
- Be on duty at the designated times to promote timely routines for students.
- Report unsafe student behavior in or near the crosswalk to the principal.
- Set up crossing signs as needed.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
SALARY: Part-time nine-month position, beginning salary Level 23, employee benefits in accordance with Board Policies.
EVALUATION: Performance to be evaluated in accordance with Board Policy on the evaluation of support personnel.
